The first speaker, Bonolo, from Botswana, was interesting because she spoke more about politics and the economy in her country. It was a great insight into how similar American and Botswana are ran, as far as presidents go. But the election term is only 5 years. I asked her what daily life was like where she lived and she told me it is more laid back and slow paced than what she has experienced here.
The second speaker, Simil, from Nigeria. She spoke more of the culture and traditions of her country. Which offered greater contrast in what I’ve learned about Africa. She told us that her country has over 521 languages. She also spoke a lot more about tribal relationships. Both within the tribes and between tribes.
