i really have not too much to say about this article. for some reason i can sympathize with the mother. it’s a touching story about a foreign family struggling in everyday life because of the language that they can hardly speak. i think i can remember a situation similar to the butcher store incident in my life but it is very foggy. i believe is had something to do with an open house of a school that i was about to go to and i got lost on the way to the bathroom. and i couldn’t remember the teacher’s name of the room that i was supposed to be in. the funny thing is that there were three teachers with the same last name in the place and i was sent the wrong way a few times.
the author has really caught my sympathy with this article. it wasn’t written to complain about anything to get people to change. i believe it was written as a way of expresing his emotions about what his mother and really, his whole family had to go through back then.
