well i have heard some things about our guest speaker from jordan. it turns out that she teaches the english class that my girlfriend is in. so i have heard some things about the speaker. things like she is very proud of her heritage, which was obvious to me when she was talking to the class.
also i have noticed that she likes to talk about the head-dress thing alot. not that that bugged me. it just shows that she is not weak. she is a strong minded individual who is not ashamed of where she came from, regardless of the current global situation.
it was very interesting listening to how alike our two countries are alike. not at all what i had expected. it’s actually comforting to know that there are people in the middle east that don’t want to kill all americans.
