yes the problem with aids is terrible everywhere. but why is it so vicious in africa??. well for one reason i believe it has something to do with the poverty in the continent. of course the lack of money isn’t why people get AIDS. but it is the start of a terrible chain of events that AIDS has relied on to spread as rapidly as it has.
since many africans are poor, they can’t afford any basic education. and i mean post-elementary education. this means a huge majority of africans are unaware of the seriousness of the disease and unaware of how it’s spread. since they are virtually clueless, the individuals may act as they normally would, many can be very promiscuous. sexual activities are the leading cause of aids when un protected.
even though there are many people trying to cure or even elleviate the aids problem in africa, this disease is just too widespread for much success.
